I sit here watching the US Open and mulling over life and what to do with this blog thing. I spent most of the summer NOT posting as I was in Europe or on vacation elsewhere, leading teacher workshops, or hanging at the pool with the kids. I was exhausted at the end of the fun/work cycle. I am only now regaining my energy. Sabbatical has started with a whimper. Kindergarten has been almost as much fun for me as for A as for me, and spending more time with A & E has been richly rewarding. E and I went for a huge bikeride down the sidewalk yesterday. I kept saying, let's turn around and go home; he kept saying No, I want to go up the big hill. We went down and up the hill.
Anyway, tomorrow I run a half marathon--I am not prepared, really. Same thing for sabbatical. Things keep coming up. Oh well. What to do. Let's see if I can add something small everyday. Today it was about the bikeride.
